Here’s a heads up for you guys…the Nicaragua team will be hosting a benefit show at the building on Sunday night, November 6 at 6:30. The show will feature Haley Shaw and Christopher Branch (check out the links at the bottom to find out about their music). There will be a $7 charge at the door, or tickets will be available for purchase at the Gathering on Sunday. All proceeds go to help the team get to Nicaragua. Let’s help support them!!

Tailgate tomorrow at 9am!!! Whoop whoop!! Come on out and get a little something to eat and a whole lot of fellowship before the game.
In other news, we’re having a Love Our Neighbors event next Sunday (10.30) night at 7pm. We’re going to meet up and go eat at Croc’s, the restaurant we share a ceiling with. Let’s show them some love, shall we?? Bring some cash with you so you can eat cause I don’t have enough $$ to pay for you all. We’re also having a Contra dance on Friday, November 4 (two weeks from today). The beginner lesson starts at 7:30, and the dance starts at 8:00. It is some of the best fun you’ve ever had on a dance floor, for real!
If you’re still looking to plug in, there are lots of ways for you to serve the body of dcf. Just email me or see me on Sunday, and we can chat about where you would like to serve. If you are searching for a smaller part of the body to be a part of and go deep with, check out family groups. There up on our website, and/or I’m always willing to chat about family groups (I am a big fan, so I’m more than happy to talk with you about them).
We’ve got a lot going on for you to be a part of, which I am personally super excited about. Here’s a little thought to chew on…Jim Elliot once said, “Wherever you are, be all there.”

Fall Break! Fall Break! Hope you have a great break (or a great Monday and Tuesday) wherever you are. Here are a few NEW (and a few old) things to put (or keep) on your calendar:
- Tailgate – Saturday, the 22nd…the time is still TBA, but just plan on coming up the hill to Clemson House a couple of hours before the game. We’ll be there – just eatin’ and chillin’. (p.s. for those who like a definite plan, I’ll send a special post out when I know the time for sure)
- Love Our Neighbor event on Sunday, October 30 at 7pm- The sermon series has moved on to “love your neighbor”. How do we do that tangibly as a body? Well, we will be dining together at Croc’s (the restaurant above the building) supporting their business and loving them. Bring some cash or plastic and meet outside of Croc’s.
- Contra dance on Friday, November 4. The beginner lesson is at 7:30, and the dance starts at 8:00. If you’ve never been to a contra, I promise you won’t regret coming to this.

The crispness of fall is in the air, it’s homecoming weekend, and the leaves are starting to change. What more could you want in one weekend?
Prayer and Missions: dcf’s 2 themes this year. I know that you’ve probably heard that a few times in the past couple of moths, but have you let it really sink in this week? Well, the Nicaragua team is getting things underway and would greatly appreciate your prayer support. Also, there’s only a few more days on the Kickstarter fundraiser for I Hope You Dance the movie, so check it out and see how you can be a part of it all.

Helloooooo Weekend!!! It’s the first Saturday without a home football game in a month, so what better time to come hang out at dcf? Love the Building is tomorrow at 9:30am, so drop in and lend a hand. We’re going to be doing some cleaning, light construction, and artsy projects. It’s going to be a good time, and we’ll be done in time for you to catch the game at 6pm, I promise! Speaking of football, dcf is going to be having a tailgate on Oct. 22 (that’s the NC game). It will probably be in the vicinity of C-house, so stay tuned for more details to come on that.
We’re still pursuing our yearly themes of prayer and missions. Two of the missions opportunities we have going on right now are…
