THIS Thursday (that’s tomorrow!) we will be going on a berry picking adventure!  Woohoo!

We will be headed out between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.  (why you ask? b/c tomorrow the high temperature is supposed to be 100 degrees. so the earlier we go the better!)

If you are interested in coming along and know Carin Vadala meet at her house.  If not, meet at dcf at 8:30 and we will travel over to her house to head out to the farm!  Or call Melissa at 864.650.0605 for any questions!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! to everyone who came out this week to help clean the building… I’m really tempted to list all of your names here, but I won’t do that in fear of forgetting someone.  But really – THANK YOU!  The building looks AWESOME!  And we absolutely couldn’t have done it with out your commitment to being there, doing a great job, and in some cases – getting a little dirty!  Now let’s all work hard to keep it looking the way it is!

Hello Hello!

We have a few things going on in the next week that we would love to have you be a part of!

The first, is THIS SUNDAY, directly after the Gathering – grab some lunch downtown (or bring your own!) and meet on Bowman to enjoy lunch together.  Fun games to follow!  Come on!  It’s free.  It’s fun.  It’s sun.  It’s people.  Why wouldn’t you come?  That’s what I thought!

Secondly, this coming Monday through Thursday we will be having a dcf church wide cleaning/reorganization/face lift of dcf.  We will start at 6:30 each night and go until about 8:30.  So if you have some free time any of those evenings, we would love your help!  I know, I know – you’re thinking cleaning?  Why would I want to do that?  Because then you can tell your mom you couldn’t clean your room because you were cleaning something else! She’ll totally understand!  And because we have a building and we want to care for it

Just a reminder about Clemson Community Care TOMORROW MORNING!  We’ll be unloading a Manna Truck that is full of produce and then distributing it to those in need in the community.  This is a great way to serve our neighbors!

Sorry for the lack of Village Post last Friday… lack of computer means lack of post.  But here it is!  A special Monday edition!

Turns out the name “Village Post” came from the old dcf website which was set up like a village, thus the village post. hm. who knew? There’s your church history for the week.

Lastly, we will be participating in unloading a Manna Truck at Clemson Community Care THIS SATURDAY from about 8:45 AM until noon at the latest.  For those of you who don’t know – this is a truck load of produce that comes in to be unloaded, sorted, and given out on the spot to people and families in the community who are in need of food.  We have helped out with this for about the past year, and look forward to doing it again!

So if you are around this Saturday, meet at CCC at 8:45 or in thelower dcf parking lot at 8:30 for a ride over.  A familiar friendly face will be there to meet you!
