Contra Dance TONIGHT – 7:30 lesson, 8:00 dance starts!
No experience necessary, just come enjoy a great time dancing with friends! And who knows… it is 2 days before Valentine’s Day, anything could happen!

Soles for Souls – this Sunday during the Gathering!
Wear or bring gently used shoes to give in an act of worship. Check out soles4souls.org to learn more about this organization!

Sunday, January 23 – Art Group -There will be an Art Interest Meeting on Sunday after church for those: 1. interested in being on the Art Team and 2. who would like to contribute their artistic talents, time, and creations to DCF. Directly after church, up front with Claire Loy.

Sunday, January 31st – Spring Cleaning – Again, in no way is this mandatory for anyone but it would be helpful if you could be there, even if for part of the time. Particularly if you care about where stuff is in the building (as in you clean, or are in the band, or work with sound, or maybe you just like cleaning!) We are going to begin at 3 o’clock. I know that’s a weird time, but that is Rachel’s last Sunday and I think we should be able to celebrate her with lunch following the Gathering! If we put it off past then, we’re looking at mid to late February – let’s just get it done! Shouldn’t take more than two hours at the most!

Saturday, February 6th – CCC Manna Truck – you know the drill. leave dcf at 8:30 AM or meet there at 8:40 AM. Be there on time or Scott will make you do push ups while stroking his new beard!

Friday, February 12th – Contra Dance – working with the Clemson Club again – more info to follow

Sunday, February 14th – Soles for Souls - We will do this at the Gathering as worship and service to the kingdom. Start spreading the word, more to follow.

Welcome back everyone!

1) Continue to pray for the people of Haiti and their families. To help, you can make an unrestricted donation to the International Response Fund at www.redcross.org or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767). The public can also help by texting “Haiti” to 90999 to send a $10 donation to the Red Cross, through an effort backed by the U.S. State Department. Funds will go to support American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.

Update on Kandace

As many of you who were at DCF on Sunday know, Kandace had a little scare with the pregnancy on Sunday – which she wouldn’t have been too concerned about, except she was traveling out of town to California Sunday for a conference for work. So she called the MD and they recommended she go to the hospital to get it checked out. So she and KT left right around 10am Sunday morning to get everything checked out.

We prayed over them, over the baby (she is 16 weeks) during the gathering, and she texted me about 12:15 to let me know all was well. So now they are off to California, and we are all praising God that all is well. Continue to pray for Kandace and the health of the baby.

dcf gathering time WILL NOT be meeting at the building this week December 27, 2009 but instead meeting at 115 Riggs Drive. We will be having breakfast together, so bring something to share.

If you need directions, there are directions on the dcf website under Church on Riggs.

Art With Friends Tonight!

Art with Friends: Sunday December 6th at DCF from 7-9pm
This month’s Art with Friends will be a crafty one: We will be making our own Christmas presents. There will be three options: leaf-painted canvas bags, fabric-layered headbands and fabric-layered brooches. Come learn some basic how-tos to create very fashionable and popular home-made presents this year. Supplies will be provided but there will be a charge per item. Please sign up Sunday after church. Clemson Community Care

Pick up a few extra items at the grocery store this week (non-perishable please) and drop them in the bin by the door on Sunday morning! This food will go to local families in need!
